the pill can help regulate your menstrual cycle and obviously help prevent conception! some pills out there like the new one YAZ can also help with symptoms of your menstrual cycle, like cramps, fatigue and bloating! A big PLUS it can clear your skin as well, so less acne!! i currently am on the nuva ring.. i love this form of birth control! you have to be comfortable with your body to use this! it is a small circular ring that you place inside around your cervix. it stays in for three weeks and out one. that's where you will menstruate! then use a NEW one! this in my opinion is easier and more convenient than having to take a pill daily! Advice about being put on the pill
Benefits:
controlled cycles, shorter cycles,
cons:
weight gain, a pill to consider not miss on a daily basis
Please don't give yourself away till you are married. That is not a good thing to do. I know most people will tell you differently. But it is your body. And if you give yourself away now, what will you have to look forward to on your wedding night?
Plus, in todays day and age, you take too many chances on getting something if you start too early.
I have a 16 yo daughter and that is the farthest thing from her mind. She is too interested in going to school, having a career and then finding a man.
there are benifits and disadvantages of being put on the pill
most girls that are sexually active ask to be put on the pill becuase it is all around easier when your not trying to have a baby
if you are not sexually active theres no need to be on the pill but it does help with period it helps your period become more regular and it also helps with pain
but after awhile the pill can have effects on you that you should ask a doctor, becuase its different for everyone i do know that the pill does make you loose more hair as time goes by
It can help to regulate your period
The pill is good as it regulates your period. It's particularly good if you have irregular periods (either if they occur at different times each month or if they're heavy one month and light the next)
If you don't have this problem then don't worry yourself too much about it. It's your choice, and if you do want to use it as a contraceptive at any point then always use condoms too; they're the only contraceptive that guard against STD's!
