Yes.
Rather than seeing her or the obese person as a hypocrite (in her case only to attack her mother because you fear her politically) why not use her situation as a learning opportunity? Let her tell her story about what she has had to give up due to her failure to practice abstinence in the same way that obese person can tell what health problems their lifestyle has led to and how much they regret their decisions and what they are doing to fix it?
If just a few girls learn from her public humiliation and loss of opportunities, which resulted from her reckless choices, then she will have done a positive thing. Is Bristol Palin lecturing kids about abstinence like an obese person giving healthy eating advice?
Let me think... Her mom preaches ';family values,'; her daughter gets knocked up. Now poor Bristol has to go out and ';spin'; things so her mother can run in 2012 without the baggage. Feel bad for the family.
Oh, and do you know about Palin's infidelity? The Enquirer broke the Edwards story (which conservatives loved), and then it broke the Palin story too. Fox News somehow managed to ignore that one, though.
Check it out:

I personally could care less, I just wish they wouldn't play the tired, hypocritical ';family values'; card. It's really getting old, conservatives!
It would be like Chris Brown and Rihanna talking to kids about non-violence and loving relationships...
Or like a certain California underwear model and beauty pageant runner-up who has never been married but wants to tell the world about the ';sanctity of marriage'; and how to save it from the evil homosexuals...
Or like the leader of the National Association of Evangelicals who is caught buying crystal meth from a gay hustler and now is on a tour to talk about what it's like recovering from sin as a heterosexual Christian...
It's all about the money and trying to spin your bad press into a ';positive';.
No, it is her attempt to go out into the world and tell others what will happen to them if they have unprotected sex. She is being honest, and courageous.
I, for one, applaud what she is doing, and I hope those who hear her will take to heart her message about waiting.
Promiscuous sex is rampant in our culture.
Just look at the videos of current music if you are unaware of where our society is going.
When will we wake up and realize that sex at a young age is a bad thing?
When will parents regroup and take an active role in the lives of their children?
What is wrong with abstinence?
Yes, Bristol did not follow it, and that is just her point.
Girls, do not believe the BS boys will tell you about love. They just want you to have sex with them.
Very good analogy.
BTW, ';Attention'; - How many obese health professionals do you listen to? I'm guessing none. You would probably listen more carefully to a healthy health professional. They have the tools and skills to show you how to do it correctly. They eat right and exercise and can show you how too. Can an obese one do that? Have they shown that it works?
Your claim is akin to saying that in order to teach people not to drive drunk, we should just show them pictures of car crashes.
Watch MSNBC do you? I think I heard that same comment coming from one of the children on that comedy station. Bristol Palin can be a role model for young people. They are more likely to listen to someone closer to their age than they are an adult, and her message is good. She has been there and can tell them from a perspective they might understand. You might try being a bit more open minded.
Yeah, some will see her as a hypocrite, others will see her as an example and will interpret her message as this:
';Look at me, the consequences are pretty good, My baby is darling, my parents are helping me take care her, I still get to go to college, and now I get to go on shows and get famous in my own right.';
She admitted she should have waited - wished she would have waited. She didn't and now she feels the effect of it all. She is saying she screwed up and wishes that others do not...
Why do you people so take things out of context or try to justify their criticism of others?
No. She is doing the equivalent of an obese person lecturing on what happens when you don't eat healthy.
She's been there and done that and she's trying to help other young girls. Stop being a hateful Lib and smearing her.
Actually someone who has had a negative experience is good choice for giving advice on that subject.
Why the negativity?
She is not. She is trying to teach kids to not make the same mistakes that she made.
It is the old scared straight approach. Like criminals yelling at kids about crime...you think that doesn't work for some kids?
Is it so hard for you to believe that she might have learned from her mistake and now wants to try to keep others from making the same mistake?
Maybe she can advise future unwed mothers on how to prevent the father from seeing the kids.
So your irrational hatred for Sarah Palin extends to her child? Pretty mean spirited, I'd say.
She is only abstinent because Levi dumped her.
LOL. That's a good one lol ! And yes, it looks that way.
Who cares.
I lol'd. That was good.
Why the Hate?
Or do you think Libs can not hate no matter what?
