Does the wii have to have a memory card. and could you give me advice about it that i should know?

well, my mom ( that doesnt know anything about this stuff) bought my little sister a Wii for her birthday. She wants me to find things that we should know before we give the Wii to her. Like does it need a memory card, what does it do besides play video games, ect---- just that kinda stufffDoes the wii have to have a memory card. and could you give me advice about it that i should know?

the wii has a small internal memory card... but you can buy a 1gb memory card to store games and file saves... if you buy a lot of virtual games from there store i would definatley recomend getting one... it doesnt play dvd's like the rest of the systems... its pretty much just a basic gaming device... but it does have a web browser and channels to read the news or check the weather
No you dont need a memory card there is built in memory on the consele if you want u can get one if u want some extra space..
You do not need a memory card, the Wii stores game information on the hard drive itself. When connected to the Internet, the Wii can be used to browse web pages, check the weather and the news, and download old school Nintendo Games. The Wii comes with Wii Sports and one remote and numchuck, but if you plan on playing two player or more, you may want to get an extra set of those. Sonic has some cool party games, as does MonkeyBall and Rayman. If you have Gamecube games, they can be played on the Wii but you need to plug in the controllers or buy the Wii classic controllers. If you have an SD card (doesn't matter if its the Wii brand or not) you can play music during some games, and you could put pictures on there and warp the pictures a little or watch a slideshow.
just ask her how much it cost, if it was the cheaper of the 2 prices available then there is not a memory card and vice versa.
