I need some advice on what to do about my online counsellor??

I have been with an online counsellor for a while because I needed help overcoming being sexually abused, physically etc. Well the last few sessions I have had with him he has been telling me that I am pretty and that I can go and live with him in the Philippines. I am a little worried, he has even offered to pay for my plane ticket. I am not sure what is going on here but I am getting scared now.I need some advice on what to do about my online counsellor??
sweetheart, stop talking with him right now, and never trust anyone on line who claims to be anything. There are people eon here who give answers and say they are doctors/nurses/surgeons and you can see from the way they phrase things and their lack of punctuation etc, that they are nothing of the sort. Anyone can pretend to be anything on line. Counselling is something that requires complete and utter trust, he could be doing anything while you are telling him your innermost thoughts and feelings.


Have you seen any of his credentials, do you know what aspect of counselling he 'trained' in. And if he is so good, why is he counselling on line anyway?


Please look around for someone that you can meet with and talk with on a personal level. It will be of more value and benefit to you in so many ways. And sadly, he will probably turn his attention to another vulnerable girl.I need some advice on what to do about my online counsellor??
Girl that Creeps me out to just reading your story. You can probably think about it two ways one the guy just wants to get in your pants, or two he thinks you two have a ';Trust'; but if you would EVER like to talk please IM me. I promise I'm nice... STOP TALKING TO HIM NOW!!!!! Find someone else to council you look in the yellow pages in your area for you local mental health services
Go with him...the fact that you have an online counsellor..who can be anyone spewing anything to you is sad. It could be a complete moron who just has a computer listening to chumps like you. You're easy prey...so go with him...
This is totally wrong, online or face to face this guy is breaching the ethical code of conduct for counselling. Are you sure he is genuine and qualified? I would report him to the medical board in your country and to the company that hosts his website or email address. Sounds like he has some problems of his own and you need to stay well away and find someone who is genuinely looking to help others. Oh and don't tell him your address or phone number or other personal information to keep yourself safe. Good luck
Drop him asap. If he's in the states, you should report him to the police. As a counselor he is not allowed to make that type of suggestion, or even being friend to his patient.

Uhmmm, You're smart enough to get help for problem. I think you know what you need to do. Find a female counselor and wake up to ';It's not your fault'; you are not alone.
I would stop talking to him because that dose not sound right. He is doing something a professional can't do. He is offering to have you live with him and pay for the ticket down that just dose not sound very good. Maybe try and find a diifernt one to talk to.
