Advice about damage to grout?

I recently had some ceramic tiles laid in my bathroom. Due to illness the plasterer came after the floor had been laid. The plasterer then managed to get plaster dust in the wet grout and now it just looks a mess. I have asked him to resolve this. He wants to clean the grout with 'brick acid' rather than regrout the tiles. I am really concerned about this and the potential damage it could do to the new tiles. Can anyone advise me on the best course of action- is this acid ok to use on ceramic tiles? Many thanksAdvice about damage to grout?
H$%% no this isn t alright. That acid may very well destroy the glaze on the tile..Painting is not an option.. Since he shouldn t have been on fresh grout , and I ll let you guys hash that out, no dust should ve gotten on the grout..

Digging out the old with extreme care and regrouting is the way it should be taken care of..

well to my knowledge if your tile looks shiny on top, it means it has a glass coat... a very strong glass finish. think of it like this- when have you ever seen a glass beaker with acid inside deteriorate. brick acid won't damage you tile unless its that rough looking stone tile...

repainting them would be an option... a quick paint...

Depending on your tile you could use.

HG cement grout film remover (HG extra) or

HG cement, mortar %26amp; efflorescence remover.

I would never recommend using something like brick acid, especially in side. It's far to strong and volatile.
