I can honestly say that the best advice I've ever got concerning relationships came from my Granny. Her attitude towards dating and meeting people is better than anyone else's I've spoken to.
Yeah things have obviously changed and what she experienced 60 years ago is very different from what goes on today, but if you try to see the fundamental principle behind advice from older generations you'll find it still applies today. People are still people, relationships are still relationships..
Boy meets girl.. or boy... or the other way round! :PHow current is prev generations advice about modern relationships.?
Modern relationships? What does that mean? Are you referring to kids dating? Relationships are relationships. How current is prev generations advice about modern relationships.?
see thanks for the points mate
People are still people. It is all the same. When you get as old and boring as us, you will understand.
You hijacked my question, but i suppose its all in the pursuit of knowledge afterall !!!
:)
About as out dated as it can get,the morals brigade came in a few years ago and all decency and sensibility went out the window then
timeless
and to the guy who said ';morals brigade came in... and all decency and sensibility went out the window';. A slight contradiction there I think. Do you mean the immorals brigade?
Well- my nan and grandad are a prime example of this- although their ways and secrets of a happy marriage might not be mine, although give and take and laughter are 2 of best ingredients, Morals always differ in today's society hence the high divorce rate.
I took what my grandparents told me abd believe that was their secret to a happy marriage so thats what Im going to do. Old fashioned is always best.
I am feeling very old all of a sudden...
I think that people do not appreciate modern day relationships..This generation treats a relationship like a pair of shoes, always wearing a diff. pair.
