Anyone give some advice about getting a xbox 360 fixed?

A friend has suffered the dreaded 3 red lights of death on her 360, it is less than 12 months old but she never registered it on xbox.com, will M$ still fix it? Should she register online now or can she do it over the phone when she phones to get it mended?





Also, will that she as registered to play on live make any difference, will her details from that have any influence?

Open the 360 casing





remove the disk drive





look at the motherboard





check the chip inside





u you can see the melted





glue(cheap) on the sink and chip





scrape it





then buy a new glue

well my friend got those three lights to(from guitar hero II ) and what he did was just go to a game stop and see if they would fix it, he never registered it either, so what your friend needs to do is go to a game stop or w/e you bought it from and ask them to, if they don't I'm sorry but different stores might have different return polices or w/e
