I let them out at 9.00pm. Then get up again at 1.00am %26amp; finally up at 6.00am. I take away water at 7.00pm %26amp; last feed is at 6.00pm. The problem is if i crate them they don't soil, But i feel guilty shutting them in but if i let them have crate open in kitchen they soil %26amp; wee.I have 2 cavalier puppies 4mths. Any advice about potty training at night.?
Don't feel guilty for crating them. It is not hurting them and if you crate train them properly, they will enjoy their crates and feel safe in them. Also, it will keep them from going to the bathroom inside and help with house training since when a dog is in a crate they won't go to the washroom where they sleep. By 4 months, that breed can go all night without you having to get up, so I'd suggest you continue to crate them, and try letting them out at 10 pm, and then waking up at 6 am with them. They should be able to go 8 hours overnight since they aren't eating, drinking or being active in their crate.
Good luck!
