I'm getting my braces tightened in about 2 weeks, any advice?

Since i just got braces about a week ago. This is my first time tightening them. I heard it hurt a lot but some of my friends said it was painless.

It just depend on the way they tighten them. If they put like 2 teeth together with the same band to make them really tight it will hurt. But if they use one band for each tooth its painless. You also have to take into consideration the sensitivity of your teeth. Good Luck! :)
if you think it will hurt then it will hurt. if you dont think it will hurt then it wont....i got my braces tightened before and i thought it would hurt and it did....but the next time i did i thought positive and it did not hurt
It doesn't hurt. They're just tightening them so they can pull your teeth together. The worst that can happen is you wont eat for an hour because in the first hour it hurts if you put pressure on it, but that's it.
It is painless but its hard to chew.
