Advice about babies and cats?

I wasn't supposed to be able to have a baby, but now I'm 32 weeks pregnant and he's almost here. I have had three cats for 5 years, and I love them like they were my children so I can't just give them away. I am scared they are going to get in my kids face to get the milk and kill him. Has anyone gone through this? What did you do?Advice about babies and cats?
First off: Congratulations! ^^

Second off: My parents had a cat when I was born. The cat was not attracted to the milk at all and actually avoided me. She didn't like that I was loud and it usually takes cats a while before they get use to situations

You should probably just make sure the cat isn't near the baby's crib (they can cuddle with the baby and suffocate them). I don't think you will have a problem with the milk. Baby formula smells weird.Advice about babies and cats?
First, congrats!! I've heard of people reacting this way, but the simple truth is that pregnant women (and then their families) have successfully had cats for literally thousands of years! So it's very doable.

They're going to be a bit confused at first about the change in pecking order, but they're not going to leap over furniture to get at your baby and then kill him if he's nursing. When you first get home, just try it and see what happens. They won't hurt the baby, but if their natural curiousity is making you nervous, just move into a separate room and finish it off.
Had 2 cats when I had my 2 children %26amp; didn't have any problem with the cats. The female cat used to keep me company when I was up feeding my firstborn in the middle of the night. Is your nursery set up? Let the kitties check it out, get used to the smells of the baby products, etc. It's an old wives tale that cats will suck the life out of the baby. When you catch them in the crib, just take them out. They'll get the idea.
My mother had a cat when I was born and he was still around when my sister was born. You know who else is still around? My sister and I. People freak out over small things. There were probably like two reported cases in the history of the world of this happening and now people freak out. There's probably a greater chance something during birth is going to get him. Not to scare you, but put some perspective on it.
I don't think cats are attracted to baby formula. And even if they were, you could just keep them away from the formula. If your child doesn't abuse the cats, and is relatively nice and gentle, I don't think he'd be killed......
That is just a old, and I do mean old wives tale. My daughter offered her cat some of the babies formula and cat turned up her snoot I would to at the smell of it.
