Make sure you have enough money!! It can get a lil pricey!!Any advice/tips about going to Disney World?
What you see and do really depends on how many days you have to visit, what your budget is, if you'll be traveling with children, etc....
But here are a few basic recommendations to get you on the right foot!
1. Visit www.disneyworld.com and figure out what you and your traveling party want to do most. Make a wish-list and then plan it out. Disney World's 4 parks can easily be seen in 4 days. But we recommend planning a longer vacation, if you can, to have relaxation days in between your park visits.
2. Visit www.orlandoinfo.com, the City of Orlando Visitor's Bureau's webpage to view other fun things to do in Orlando. You may want to visit other parks, or see something other than Disney. I recommend Sea World, Kennedy Space Center, and Islands of Adventure. Looking for a beach day? Cocoa Beach is just 45 minutes east!
3. Once you know where you're going, put it down on paper. Now it's time for dining reservations! Check out Disney's website, or www.allears.net and check out the menus for each restaurant. Find what sounds good to you and make your reservations early by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
4. Visit other informational websites (like those listed below) to learn more before your trip.
Have a great first visit!
Which parks to go to, which rides to ride, etc. depends on if you have children and how old they are. If you have a toddler/preschooler, WDW is the best park ever. They have a bunch of rides for the little ones and a ton for the adults too. Go to the website and you can print a map with all of the rides your interested in...you can even sort the rides/attractions by age.
Also, think about getting the meal plan if you plan to eat in the parks. It really is a great deal. My DH and I get the plan for ourselves, but not our daughter, as she is picky, picky, picky, so we pack lunch for her.
The best bet is to definately go to the website and do your homework. This way, you don't miss anything during stay!!
save your money and go to sea world and universal. i found it to be well over rated. so so so busy you have to wait over an hour to get on rides. the place seems a little out dated to.
i was in orlando last month for a few weeks and stayed away from disney. sea world and universal are great. the shows at sea world are amazing, try the pirates, sea lion and otta show (was very funny) and shamu was amazing. also busch gardens have some very scary rides if thats your thing, if you time your trip right you wont wait in line for more than 15 mins. gl and have fun
